ABOUT THE RENDEZVOUS IN THE CLASSROOM YOUTH FILM PROGRAM
The Rendezvous in the Classroom Youth Film Program (YFP) is presented as part of the annual Rendezvous with Madness Film Festival (RWM). YFP is designed for high school students with the purpose of stimulating interest in mental health issues, increasing understanding of people with mental illness and addiction issues and combating the stigma associated with it. Presentations are followed by discussion led by a moderator and a carefully selected panel that includes the filmmakers, a mental health professional, and youth with lived experience of the mental health issues raised in the film.
Rendezvous with Madness is currently developing the 2013 Youth Program for launch this November at the Rendezvous with Madness Film Festival. Please check back for more information leading up to RWM 2013.
